• Soak the seeds overnight before sowing to aid germination.
• Do not feed nasturtiums as this will encourage leafy growth rather than flowers.
• They do well on poor, hungry soils and can withstand fairly dry conditions.

How to grow Nasturtium

• Nasturtiums thrive in sandy, well-drained soil in a sunny position.
• Plant directly into compost in containers, baskets or window boxes. Water well until young plants fully establish.
• Keep moist. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 30cm apart, or into containers, baskets or window boxes, when frosts are over.
• Keep well-watered but allow the soil to dry out in between watering.
• Allow foliage to die back after the flowering season is over as this will add valuable nutrients to the soil.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.

Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.
