Product Information

Sempervivums are experiencing a fresh wave of popularity as people are rightfully enthralled by the ease and versatility of the plants.

Known as an iconic houseleek, this delightful ‘Gold Nugget’ takes gardeners, both seasoned and beginners alike, on a fascinating journey of colour across the seasons!

Pointed leaves first emerge in golden green with dark red edges in spring, before becoming completely coated in lime green for summer. Autumn sees the springtime colour combination of red and green return, before a dark red spreads across the leaves in winter.

Plus, summer brings a subtle scattering of pink star-like flowers, which gather in clusters on leafy stems.

Really easy to grow and a favourite with kids, Sempervivums require well-drained soil in full sun, tolerating drought when established. Please note that leaf colour is dependent on temperature and light, so may vary in intensity across the seasons.

A variety known for making the most of whatever growing situation on offer, thriving whether in trays or pots, in the ground, or on wood or in rock piles.

Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready to plant.
