Double blooms, each ruffled, speckled, and coloured in different variations decorate this perennial collection. Brighten the garden as others are slumbering. These Hellebore even make excellent accompaniments to spring bulbs, flowering from February to April. Despite appearing delicate and dainty, the flowers are actually tough and hardy to withstand the weather - come rain, snow, or shine!

These cup-shaped blooms even provide a valuable source of nectar to any early pollinators buzzing around the garden. So easy to grow, establishing slowly into small clumps and increasing in number year after year, with displays potentially expanding upwards of 50 flowers after five years or so.

'Double Ellen' thrive in rich, well-drained soil in dappled shade, with preferred soil conditions that are humus-rich and moist. They can also be grown in pots if space is limited, just don't let them dry out in the summer heat.
