Product Information

The World's first wide colour ranging seed-raised Echinacea, called 'Cheyenne Spirit' certainly evokes the warm, autumnal hues of the great plains and prairies of the USA.

Winner of several European Trade Awards for excellence in new varieties, this gorgeous mix is uniquely first year flowering, and represents a tremendous value way to get on the Echinacea trend, so dominant in the last few years.

Echinaceas, or Coneflowers as they are also known, are classic daisy-like, taller hardy perennials, much suited to a traditional cottage garden style setting, yet equally at home in drift plantings and gravel beds too, or just massed together in pots, you get great flowering performance, bee-friendly flowers and they come back year after year too.

Supplied as 6 x jumbo plug plants, ready to grow on before planting out.

Care Information

  • Unpack plugs immediately, and stand them in water for an hour.
  • If you can’t do this, they can sit in their mini greenhouse for a week if upright and not too wet.
  • Plugs may be slightly dry or yellow after being in a dark box in the post but they’ll quickly recover.
  • Put them somewhere warm, light and airy such as a windowsill or greenhouse.
  • Garden Ready plugs are large enough to be planted out in their final positoins.
  • Plant approx. 30cm (12in) apart to allow them room to grow.
  • To do this, dig a hole large enough to accomodate the root ball and plant to the same level at the top of the compost.
  • Refill aound the roots, supporting the plant gently as you do so, taking care not to damange the stems.
  • Firm the soil and water thoroughly.
