Harking back to traditional roses in shape, colour, and scent, 'Simple Life' produces fragrant climbing displays that would not look out of place in a quaint cottage garden.
Glamorous singular roses emerge through summer and into autumn, with peach to pink petals surrounding rich amber yellow stamens. Repeat flowering year after year from a plant of dark green foliage, which even offers perfect shelter for smaller mammals and birds.
This climbing rose boasts a beautiful scent and impresses when grown on frames to add height to any display. Climbing roses are a delight for the environment, as they grow quickly with plenty of leaves. The vibrant aesthetic and floral aroma of the 'Simple Life' blooms make this plant a magnet for beetles and bumblebees.
For every rose sold, we are proud to donate £2.50 to the RSPB (Registered Charity in England and Wales no. 207076, Scotland no. SC037654) As the UK’s largest nature conservation charity, the RSPB strives to save species, protect habitats, and help to end the ongoing climate and nature emergency.
Supplied freshly in a 3L pot, ready to be planted out. Please note at certain times of the year this variety may be supplied in a 4L pot.
We always endeavour to provide beautifully formed plants; however, our roses will naturally start to lose their leaves from October to prepare for the colder months. Do not worry though, as they will flourish once again with leaves and buds in the spring. Please, make sure you consider the season when purchasing our remarkable roses for yourself or loved ones.
Manufactured under licence from RSPB Sales Limited to raise awareness of the RSPB (charity registration in England and Wales no 207076 and Scotland no SC037654). For all licensed Products sold by The Harkness Rose Company Ltd, The Harkness Rose Company Ltd will donate a minimum of £10,000 per annum to RSPB Sales Ltd, which gives all its distributable profits through Gift Aid to the RSPB.
All of our freshly potted roses are field grown and dug up and potted when the weather conditions are right in October or November, just as the plants are entering their winter dormancy, which helps keep the roots hydrated and in good condition.
The roses can be kept in their pots throughout the winter provided they are kept well fed and watered, however ideally, they should be planted out as soon as possible. Because plants are dormant throughout the winter, they do not produce any new roots until spring, so don't be alarmed if the compost falls away from the roots when you take them out of their pots.
They will already have been cut back so no further pruning will be required, apart from removing any tips that have died back.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.
Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.
