How to Use Blooming Fast Pond Clear Pro 2 Step.

A two-stage process, Kick-Start Oxygenator begins by eliminating algae and blanket weed, and then Pure Aqua breaks down the sludge and clears the water.

Before you use the two Pond Clear Pro products, do please read the instructions carefully. You'll find full instructions with your order.

While the product is entirely harmless to pond life when used correctly, do take a little extra care if you have fish. In such a case add Pure Aqua in stages over a period of 4-5 days to ensure that oxygen levels are maintained in your pond.

Below, you will find a simple guide to calculating the size of your pond.

How Big is My Pond?

To calculate how much Pond Clear Pro 2 Step your pond requires, follow this quick guide:

Measure the average Length (L), average Width (W) and average Depth (D) of your pond in metres.

For example; for a pond that is 7m long, 5m wide and 0.5m deep:
L x W x D = V
7m x 5m x 0.5m = 17.5m³

To then calculate the volume in litres, simply multiply by 1000.
V x 1000 = Volume in Litres
17.5 x 1000 = 17500 litres

To roughly calculate the volume of a circular pond, measure the diameter (D) of the pond in metres and halve this to find the Radius (R).

For example; for a circular pond that is 5m wide and 1m deep:
D / 2 = R
5 / 2 = 2.5m

Multiply the radius by itself, and then multiply this number by three to find the approximate surface area (A).
R x R x 3 = A
2.5m x 2.5m x 3 = 18.75m³

Multiply then by the depth of the pond (D) in metres and again multiply by 1000 to calculate the volume in litres:
A x D = V
18.75m x 1m = 18.75m³
V x 1000 = Volume in litres
18.75 x 1000 = 187500 litres

Finally, check the pack size you need. The volumes treated are:
Small Pack treats up to 10,000 Litres
Medium Pack treats up to 20,0000 Litres
Large Pack treats up to 40,000 Litres
Extra Large Pack treats up to 60,000 Litres

If you have bought too much, there’s no need to worry – simply snip open the sachet, empty out the approximate amount required and then seal the remainder in cling film, ready for future use - it will keep for up to two years.

Instructions for Use

How to Use

PRIOR TO APPLICATION – If your pond has excessive blanket weed, first remove as much as possible and dispose of it on the compost heap. This will prevent the build-up of dead organic material, and therefore improve microbial digestion and reduce oxygen consumption.

Step 1, Day 1: Add Kick-Start Oxygenator, the Fast-Acting Pre-treatment

Used in conjunction with Pure Aqua to optimise performance, the Kick-Start Oxygenator helps to quickly eliminate algae, blanket weed and green water.

Sprinkle contents of the Kick Start sachet over the pond, covering as much of the surface as you can access.

One sachet will treat a pond up to 20,000 litres. For Ponds over 20,000 litres add an extra sachet for each additional 20,000 litres.

Step 2, Day 3-4: Add Pure Aqua - with 'Zeolite Ultra' to both extend and enhance performance.

Open your pack of Pure Aqua and simply drop the sachet(s) into the pond. The sachet(s) will dissolve releasing the microbes into the water and the Zeolite will drop to the bottom.

If you need to add over a number of days (for example if you have fish present in your pond, see warning below) add the sachet(s) to about 5 litres (1 gallon) of lukewarm water to help activate the microbes. Once mixed the microbes will start to feed on the added nutrients and will stay active for at least 5 days. As they begin to work the pond may well turn from green to brown, before becoming clear.

The Zeolite in Pure Aqua is added as it gives a stable and massive surface area for the microbes and bacteria to colonise once in the pond, thereby increasing effectivity.

Warning

While harmless to fish and plants, it is very important that there is sufficient oxygen, so that fish are not deprived. If there is any doubt apply a small amount of Pure Aqua each day over five days. If fish move to the surface, aerate immediately. In hot weather water does not hold as much oxygen.

Each soluble sachet is sufficient to treat a pond up to 10,000 litres

Suitable for all pond types including fishponds, wildlife ponds and natural swimming pools. May also be used in water butts and tanks to eliminate algae.

The recommended application rates of Pond Clear are:

Pond Size (litres) Number of Sachets
Up to 10,000 Litres 1
For Each Additional 10,000 Litres 1

Storage and Handling

Store in a cool dry place, out of direct sunlight, beyond reach of children. Keep pack sealed to avoid water absorption.

Avoid eye contact and do not inhale or ingest. Wash hands after use.

Biodegradable and non-toxic to humans, pets, fish and wildlife.
