Description

This pink Brugmansia throws out huge, hanging trumpet flowers up to around 30cm long, then fills the evening air with rich fragrance just when you are using the patio the most!

It looks exotic and gloriously indulgent, yet it is surprisingly straightforward to grow when given warmth, moisture and frost-free winter shelter.

Brugmansia is known as Angel’s Trumpet for good reason, with theatrically big and impressive blooms. This fast-growing South American beauty quickly builds into a bold feature plant, whether grown as a centrepiece in a large patio pot or as a striking summer focal point in a sheltered border.

Flowering through summer and into autumn, it delivers months of colour and scent. Plus, pollinators absolutely love it!

Simple to care for, this tender perennial should be kept in a frost-free spot for winter. Move it inside, cutting back growth and keep it as a houseplant until the warmer months return.

Important: All parts of the Brugmansia plant are toxic if ingested. Please keep away from children and pets.

Top Tips
  • Remove faded flowers and any damaged leaves to keep the plant tidy and to help direct its energy into fresh growth and repeat flowering
  • Expect fast growth and large leaves, so shelter from strong winds is important and taller stems may need light support as the plant gains height
Care Information

How To Plant:

  • Unpack Brugmansia Pink straight away on arrival, check the compost and water lightly if it feels dry, then place the plant in a bright, warm and sheltered spot out of cold winds
  • Pot on from the 9cm nursery pot into a slightly larger container using rich, fertile, moisture-retentive but free-draining compost, then move into larger pots as it grows
  • Choose a warm, sheltered position in sun, as Brugmansia performs far better with plenty of light, warmth and protection from strong winds
  • Grow in a large patio pot where possible, as this makes watering simpler through summer and allows the plant to be moved under cover before cold weather arrives

Ongoing Care:

  • Water regularly through spring and summer, as Brugmansia is a thirsty plant in active growth and container-grown specimens may need daily watering during hot weather
  • Feed regularly during the growing season, especially once buds begin to form
  • Move the plant into a bright, frost-free place before the first autumn frosts, such as a greenhouse, conservatory or cool indoor room, as Brugmansia is not winter hardy
  • Cut the plant back in autumn if needed to make it easier to move and manage over winter, as it will regrow strongly once warmth returns in spring
  • Water sparingly in winter, keeping the compost just slightly moist rather than wet, and stop feeding until new growth starts again in spring
  • In spring, begin watering more regularly as growth restarts, repot if roots are filling the container, and gradually acclimatise the plant before moving it back outside
Delivery Information

Please allow us 3-5 working days to dispatch your order. Pre-ordered items will be sent as soon as possible after the date quoted and we'll generally ship your entire order with your pre-ordered items. When your order is dispatched, we'll send you another email with details of how to track it.

Most orders are sent on a fully-tracked courier service with Yodel. To avoid perishable items being stuck at depots and deteriorating, no signature is required, and our courier is asked to leave your order in a safe place on your property.

We'll send a tracking link when we dispatch your order, so you know when its due to arrive. Please note, once delivered we cannot be held responsible for loss or theft from your property. If you have any specific delivery instructions, please let us know - there's an option to enter a short message for the courier at the checkout.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.

Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.

Please note, we cannot guarantee delivery on a certain day or time. Delivery to outlying postcode areas may take 1-2 days longer, dependent on your location.
