Product Information

Gorgeous pale pink double flowers covered purple freckles give this hellebore a striking, exotic look that’s a welcome sight in the winter garden. The beautiful blooms, each 3-5 cm in diameter, are incredibly tough and will withstand the harshest of winter wind, rain and cold.

A hardy perennial with flowers from January until April, rising up to 35 cm above leathery evergreen leaves.
Extremely simple to grow, hellebores will slowly establish into small clumps, thriving in lower light and shady spots. They can be grown in pots too, provided they do not dry out in summer.

Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot ready to plant out, reaching a height and spread of 35 cm (14 in).

Top Tips

  • Remove old leaves as the flower buds emerge so that the flowers can be admired.

Care Information

  • Plant in rich, well-drained soil in dappled shade and provide shelter from strong, cold winds.
  • Plants are not happy if left in very dry or waterlogged soil so incorporate plenty of well-rotted organic matter into the planting hole along with some horticultural grit if the soil is heavy.
  • Water regularly during dry spells and mulch annually with leaf mould, chipped bark or other organic matter in autumn.
