Also known as ‘Meconopsis betonicifolia’, the large blooms of this species boast a shape very similar to traditional poppies but appear with remarkable blue petals surrounding a rich yellow centre and bristled stems.
The Blue Himalayan Poppy is just waiting to be your new favourite summer garden flower, as it will flourish in cool and moist climates, but also in far drier environments with the correct care and attention.
Thankfully, the beauty of these flowers does not end in the garden, as they are ideal for cutting.
