Harkness Rose 'Youth Without Limits'

There are some roses that deserve a place in your garden simply because they are beautiful. ‘Youth Without Limits’ is rather more special than that.

Created by the world-renowned rose breeders Harkness Roses in support of The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this magnificent new Floribunda was launched at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in 2026, as the DofE celebrates an extraordinary 70 years of helping young people discover just what they are capable of.

And every time one is sold, it makes a genuine difference.

For every 'Youth Without Limits' rose purchased, £5 is donated to The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, helping the charity give even more young people the opportunity to develop their confidence, resilience, skills and self-belief.

It is an inspiring cause - but Harkness have also created a truly outstanding garden rose to carry its name.

The generously filled, perfectly rounded blooms can reach around 9cm across, opening in glorious clusters in shades of rich golden amber and warm yellow. As each flower matures, the petals gradually soften through creamy ivory, while the outer edges develop a beautiful blush of warm pink. The effect is different from flower to flower and changes wonderfully as the blooms age.

There is fragrance too. Lean in and you'll discover a delicate spicy perfume with subtle hints of clove and cinnamon.
And, as you'd expect from the Harkness stable, ‘Youth Without Limits’ isn't just bred to look good. The glossy, dark-green foliage is strong, healthy and impressively disease resistant, while its compact habit – approximately 75cm tall and 60cm wide – makes it equally at home in a rose bed, mixed border or a large patio pot.

Best of all, it is repeat flowering, producing fresh clusters of blooms throughout the summer and returning to put on another spectacular display year after year.
