One of the most famous and popular rose of all time, 'Peace' boasts beautiful primrose-yellow flowers that fade to blush-pink tips.
Each of the large, showy double blooms are accompanied by a delightful light fragrance! Repeat-flowering, disease resistant and easy to grow, this hardy and vigorous Hybrid Tea is a brilliant performer.
Endorsed with the RHS Award of Garden Merit and public alike, having been voted 'World's Favourite Rose' in 1976. It is steeped in history and was named in 1945 to commemorate the end of Second World War, having been smuggled out of France as a seedling during hostilities.
Later that year 'Peace' roses were handed to delegations at the inaugural meeting of the United Nations with a note that read: 'We hope the 'Peace' rose will influence men's thoughts for everlasting world peace.'
'Peace is the finest Hybrid Tea ever raised and will remain a standard variety forever', Peter Beales, Rose Expert.
Supplied as a freshly potted, professional quality plant in a 3L pot. Please note at certain times of the year this variety may be supplied in a 4L pot.
To prune, just remove any dead, dying, damaged and diseased stems and also deadhead regularly.
Traditionally, you would cut just above a leaf joint with a sloping cut away from the bud, however, this isn't necessary, and don’t worry about pruning too much - roses are very resilient and will grow back.
When pruning, make sure that your secateurs are clean and sharp to prevent squashing stems and introducing disease.
Add mycorrhizal fungi to the roots when planting to help the plant establish quicker.
