Pale pink buds scatter across the shrub of heart-shaped green foliage, unfurling into fully double, snowy white flowers from the end of spring to early summer. You'll be able to see both pink and white blooms at once, for a relaxing two-tone effect.
What’s more, these lilac flowers release a delightful floral fragrance, to make those early summer garden strolls even more pleasant.
A great variety for the garden border, with foliage that remains on the shrub for much of the year, spring to autumn, dropping across winter to make way for fresh growth in the new year.

Once the flowering has finished, trim back the shrub and remove any damaged branches.
Care Information
- Grow Lilac plants in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun.
- They can be grown in containers if you wish using a soil-based compost.
- Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season while young plants become established.
- Lilac can be pruned in winter or spring by removing any damaged, diseased or misplaced stems before lightly shaping to retain the attractive form and height. In mid-summer, faded flowers can be removed from the plants.
- After pruning, apply a mulch of well-rotted manure or compost to the base of the lilac.
- Mulch around the base of the plant with a collar, compost, gravel, bark etc.

Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.
