Product Information

Be the envy of your neighbourhood by being one of the first to plant and grow this new and exclusive orchid Canna Lily.

Compact and reliable plants with a bed of large, sometimes bronze-tinted, green leaves produce impressive flowers for months of the year, stretching from July to October.

The true show-stopping feature of this plant is the blooms which must be seen to be believed – heavenly yellow petals with charming orange speckles grow in a flurry on top of strong stems.

An early flowerer, this is a versatile perennial that performs particularly well in beds, borders, or even containers – perfect as a patio or balcony feature piece or dotted throughout the garden.

What’s more, Canna Lilies will attract pollinators, such as bees and butterflies, to transform your garden into a buzzing haven of wildlife.

Supplied as an established plant in a 9cm pot, ready to plant out.

Top Tips

Cannas perform best in full sun, in moist but well-drained soil conditions

Care Information

  • This plant will thrive in loose and nutrient-rich soil.
  • Make sure to keep the soil evenly moist when young, while wet and poorly-drained soil can be tolerated once established. Water freely during dry spells.
  • Hold off removing old flowers, as new shoots come up within dead flowers and, a month or so later, will produce more flowers.
  • Apply a general-purpose liquid feed in the middle of summer.
  • Little pruning or training is needed, just stake clumps in exposed positions.
  • Lift the plants in autumn after the foliage has been frosted. Break large clumps into two or three and pot the pieces into roughly 10in pots. You can then overwinter them in any frost-free shed or greenhouse, keeping them just slightly moist.
  • When the plants start to push up their red shoots in spring, bring them into a light place, water well and protect from late frosts.
  • By June, growth will be well under way and they can be planted out once more.
