‘Adessa’ is nothing less that a breeding breakthrough. The world’s first commercially potato variety raised directly from seed, meaning that do not need chitting!
As they’re supplied as plug plants, these potatoes can be planted just as you would any other vegetable plant, and they’re perfect for growing in large containers so you can have your own garden fresh potatoes even if you’re short on space.
High yielding, ‘Adessa’ potatoes have excellent flavour, white skins and firm yellow flesh and are ideal for boiling, roasting, mashing and for chips.

How to grow ‘Adessa’ potatoes
- Pot up your potato plug plants and grow them on in a warm, frost free place.
- Once the risk of frost has passed, plant out into well prepared ground about 60cm (2ft) apart.
- Alternatively, plant into large pots filled with good quality compost.
- Water well and regularly.
- Your potatoes will be ready to harvest from late July/August, as the leaves begin to die down.
