Product Information

Apple 'Gala' and 'Golden'Delicious' Duo Tree
Now everyone can grow fruit trees in the minimum of space!  These incredible duo fruit trees have been meticulously grafted by highly skilled nurserymen to provide 2 different apple varieties growing on one rootstock.  What's more, the rootstocks are dwarfing, meaning that your trees will always remain compact.

You will get 2 different varieties of fruit from 1 tree – perfect for anyone who loves the idea of picking their own home-grown fresh fruit but has limited garden space. They are ideal for growing in a container on your patio and equally happy in a small border. With stunning spring blossom and attractive autumn foliage, not only do they taste good – they look good too!

'Gala' Apple
A well-known RHS winning variety that is delicious and juicy eaten straight from the tree. Great for pressing into a sweet apple juice.  For use from September to December.

'Golden Delicious'
Highly versatile variety that will store really well. Use abundant crops to make delightful desserts and yummy puddings as well as keeping them to eas as they are. Of course nothing tastes better than your own home-grown harvest.

Both varieties, you can be sure they will reward you with delicious full-sized fruit year after year.  Fully hardy and self-fertile, they will produce bumper crops with the minimum of effort. Because they are already trained into a V shape, they are perfect for growing against a wall or fence, where they will reach a mature height of 1.5-1.8m.

Top Tips

  • Add Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi to the roots when planting to help establish your tree more quickly.
  • Place your tree in a sunny position for the best crops.

Care Information

  • Apply a slow-release fertiliser such as blood, fish and bone, in early spring, and mulch to retain moisture.
  • Water regularly, and don't let the soil dry out if planted in pots.
  • Established trees don't require radical pruning; just take off any diseased, dying and damaged branches. Look at the overall shape and aim for an open structure of branches and remove any that cross over so they don't damage each other.
  • Hang wasp traps in trees and harvest crops as soon as they ripen. Avoid leaving windfalls or overripe fruit on the ground.
  • Don't forget the tree guards, as rabbits can strip the bark overnight.
