These Specially Grafted 'Duo' Fruit Tree Varieties Allow You To Grow Two Different Varieties Of Fruit From Just One Tree!
They are perfect if you love the idea of picking your own home-grown, tree-fresh fruit but have limited space - because each has two different varieties of fruit growing.
Each tree is meticulously 'double-grafted' together onto 'dwarfing' rootstock by highly skilled nurserymen - which means they will remain compact in your garden and are happy growing in large pots on your patio. They are already trained into a V-shape, so can be grown against a wall too! Supplied as a bare root, grower quality tree.
Pear 'Conference' - This produces a large crop of fruits with clear white flesh that are ready to pick each September. Expect fruit crops from 3-4 years after planting. The long, tapering fruits are packed with an irresistible sweetness and lip-smacking juice that will drip from your chin when you bite in to a ripe one!
Because of its outstanding flavour, it remains the most popular pear grown in Britain by a long measure both in commercial orchards and home gardens. It is perfect for you to grow because it is very heavy cropping and when picked unripe, it is great for keeping for 2 or more months. Crops: September-October
Pear 'Concorde' - This scrumptious pear variety produces large crops of elegant, tapering fruits with white flesh that are ready to pick from September each year. Each one is packed with an incredibly sweet, irresistible juice you wont be able to stop yourself eating them straight from the tree! Try to save some for later though as they'll make wonderful desserts for your Christmas parties! 'Concorde' is perfect for gardeners to grow because it is very heavy cropping and will keep for over two months when picked unripe. Crops: September-October

Care Information
- Apply a slow-release fertiliser, such as blood, fish and bone, in early spring, and mulch to retain moisture.
- Water regularly, and don't let the soil dry out if planted in pots.
- Established trees don't require radical pruning; just take off any diseased, dying or damaged branches (the three Ds). Look at the overall shape and aim for an open structure of branches, and remove any that cross over so they don't damage each other.
- Hang wasp traps in trees and harvest crops as soon as they ripen. Avoid leaving windfalls or overripe fruit on the ground.
- Don't forget the tree guards as rabbits can strip the bark overnight.

Smaller, lighter, single-item orders may be sent through the post with Royal Mail - in which case no tracking is available.
Our experienced nursery team will always send your plants nursery fresh in the perfect condition to thrive when you plant them, so although most plants are very tough and will not be affected by all but the most extreme frosts or heatwaves, we avoid dispatching the most perishable plants if extreme weather is forecast, or over Bank Holiday weekends.
